2019 MN State Fair New Foods Preview Part 5

THIS IS IT!

THE END!

via GIPHY

We've reached Day Five. Nothing left to do but go through these last few foods and then twiddle our thumbs waiting for the actual foods to shove in our mouths.

Might as well get to it so we can commence our very quite weeping.

Oh. You can find Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 at these links.

Sarah

Ohhh fun! Yes! This looks great and different! I hope it tastes delightful and fresh.

I really hope this is good. I really want it to be good. It should be good, right? All the elements add up to something that should be just great.

Don’t disappoint me, Blue Moon Dine-In. You’ve broken my heart in the past and made it soar. We’re due for another good year from you.

Patrick

Now THIS is what I am talking about.  And from the Blue Moon Dine-in Theater?  Now I know it’ll be great.  They’ve made some wonderful and delicious new foods in the past, and I like everything about this foreign pizza.  Comes rolled or folded?  How do I decide?  Is one way easier to eat than the other?  Which way is more traditional?  Why you make me choose?!  I want this now; spicy beef, cucumber salad, and all.

Anne

Ok- this looks just like Greek Tacos, but in pizza form. But then they rolled or folded it and turned it into a taco instead?

Lahmacun is apparently just Turkish/Armenian/Lebanese/Syrian pizza with minced meat, veggies and herbs (including onions, tomatoes and parsley), and spices like pepper, paprika, cumin, cinnamon.

Well regardless, this looks excellent, and Blue Moon rarely disappoints. I expect this will be really tasty and satisfying.

Sarah

I mean, fine. This looks good. I like cheesecake so sure.

But I don’t like when I have to CHOOSE between options, you know? What if we pick the chocolate one, but it turns out the strawberry one was really the best option to go with?

I don’t want to buy 4 tarts, okay? Unless the first one is amazing. Then fine, maybe we’ll splurge. But come on.

Lulu’s public house. They are mostly eh. Sometimes they put something nice out, though. I’m betting this one won’t be one of them, though.

I’m gonna push for strawberry, I think.

Patrick

Oh my god, little cheesecake tarts?  These look adorable and delicious.  How do I choose what topping to get?  Do I need more than one?  Does it come with more than one?  LuLu’s?!  Are you fucking kidding me?  This nonsense again?  This’ll probably turn out be a disappointment somehow, they always manage to screw it up!  I am not shouting!  No, I’m not going to smack anyone, why do you people keep asking that?

Anne

I don’t know man… I know Lulu’s has tried pastry and such in the past, but that is not the kind of food stand I think of them as, so any time they come out with something like this I am confused. These don’t look amazing, and I don’ like how runny and thin the glaze looks on these pies.

Also, do I like my cheesecake warm…?

I don’t know man…

Sarah

Ohhhhhh fun! I LOVE flights of things! And this has actual injectors!!! I am excited!

But also, though, that’s just kind of a waste of materials and extra trash. Even though it’s fun and exciting, the planet is going to end in, like 5 years, so maybe don’t help it along with extra trash and just fill the donuts for us?

Still, though, I’m gonna eat the SHIT out of this.

I hope there’s enough filling in those syringes to go around.

Also, I kind of want an extra one to just squirt in my mouth.

Oh, this is at the Hangar! I’m excited to give this one another shot since it’s only its second year existing.

Patrick

Assault?!  That’s battery at best.  It’s not fleeing the scene, I’m still on State Fair grounds.  I just relocated to a nearby establishment to get away from the fucking blue cheese stink!  Let me finish my fucking reviews god dammit!

Donut holes with your own syringe of sweet filling to stuff them with?  Shut up and take my money!  How do you resist not just injecting sweet cream, custard, or jam straight into your mouth?  This looks like a lot of fun and I hope it’s as good as it is entertaining to eat.

All right, if we can just jump the fence behind the Hangar, we can lose ourselves in the sea of RVs and hide out with the carnies.

Anne

HAHAHAHAHAHAH! This is insane!! OMG I love this. I wonder how many donut holes this comes with? I’m going to need to try ALL THE COMBINATIONS.

The Hangar had good food for its Maiden Voyage last year, and I’m glad to see they’re still offering AND that they’ve taken a step closer to crazy town.

Sarah

Come on. This isn’t…this isn’t fair food, okay, new vendor Blue Ox Burger Bar? I can get a burger like this at Five Guys or any other place where you pick what you put on your burger which is most places nowadays.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I fuckin love burgers. I just, don’t need to go to the state fair to get a burger, you know?

Since we gotta eat it no matter what, it better be a damn good burger.

Patrick

Normally, a build-your-own burger bar is an enticing prospect, but I didn’t come to the MN State Fair to eat a burger joint.  I want something new and fair-festive that I don’t normally get every day, and burger joints are a dime a dozen around here.  I see they have breakfast sammiches here too, but I’d make the same argument for that with the burgers.  If they were offering some unique take on burgers, then we could talk, but I’m not sure I want to spend the stomach space or cash on this.  Nothing against them personally, maybe they make a mean burger.

Anne

A build your own burger bar. Hmm, that seems neat. But IN GENERAL, I don’t go to the State Fair to have a burger…

Sarah

What? There’s already a strawberry place. It looks like a giant strawberry. And usually it’s not bery (heh! That was a legit typo and I left it in because it was funny) good.

I do like berries and cream, though. But, again, I can just make that at home pretty easily. We actually DO make it at home regularly so it sucks that I’m gonna have to spend my monies on this.

I WILL try the iced tea, though. That sounds like it could be good.

I see this is cleverly named Strawberries n’ Crème

Patrick

Wow, you really broke the mold with this one.  I’m lying, this is some played out shit.  Don’t get me wrong, strawberries and cream can be pretty great, but I’m looking for much more exciting fare here at the…uh, the fair.  Is that a pun?  I don’t know, whatever.  The real funny thing is, there’s that strawberry place over by the animal barns (you know the one with the stand that looks like a giant strawberry).  That place makes strawberry desserts, and they use canned strawberries, because you know, why use quality ingredients on the only thing you do and are known for?  So, maybe this place will outshine that crap hole.  I’m actually rooting for them in that regard.

Anne

I guess this is all they do. Pass.

Sarah

Okay. Normally I would be pretty excited about this, but we go to Market fest in White Bear Lake like every Thursday in the summer and they have a KILLER AMAZING ice cream sandwich between chocolate chip cookies and I’m fairly certain none of these are going to be beat that.

But. I do like that there are so many fun flavors. I might swing for that chocolate peanut butter one. Ooh, or maybe even the Cayenne Chocolate Chip.

We’ll see how it goes, Thelma’s Handmade Ice Cream Sandwiches

Patrick

Hey, if I’m going to have to eat ice cream, I can at least get behind it when it is sandwiched between two cookies.  This idea also isn’t very novel, but I do appreciate that they have a wide variety of choices for your selection.  This all comes down to how good the cookies are, and to a lesser extent, how good the ice cream is.

Anne

Lots of cookie and ice cream sandwiches. I might try one- they have some fun flavors.

Sarah

Okay, so cookie dough on a stick for this new vendor Kora’s Cookie Dough. I can get down with giving that a try.

I don’t lose my mind over cookie dough like some people do, but I’m not against it by any means.

There’s gonna be a discussion, though, about what kind to get because that’s the way it always is with new vendors because all of their foods are new.

Patrick

OHMYGOD SHOVE IT IN MY FACE!  I love cookie dough, and all the variations here sound great.  I want it deep fried, I want it dipped, I want to try all the different dough flavors.  I don’t care if this is fat-shame on a stick, I will grin like a madman as you watch and shake your head.  Kora, you have pleased the food gods that reside in my belly.

Anne

Deep fried cookie dough, and cookie dough on a stick, with or without chocolate and toppings. MAAAAAAAAYBE I’d try one of these.

And that's it.

That's all she wrote.

We'll see you again in a few weeks once the fair actually starts.

2019 MN State Fair New Foods Preview Part 4

Here we are! Day four of the new foods countdown! Are you getting excited?  Because we sure as shit are!

You can find Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 at their links.

Let's start thus off with a BAM!

Sarah

YUP YUP YUUUUUUUUUUUP. I fuckin want this. Nordic Waffles was a great new addition to the fair this year, so I’m excited to see that they’ve added some new waffles and they’re a bit bonkers, too.

I mean, I’m obvs not excited about the Mexican one cuz of the flavors, but I’ll shove that candy and cereal one right down my throat. I’ll swallow it like a duck.

Patrick

Aww shit, yo.  Nordic Waffles was a great new addition to the fair last year, and I’m excited they’re back with two new recipes to try.  That pebbles and bam bam waffle looks like the sort of shit your kid would ask for breakfast if they had their choice of candy and cereal.  That or a dad was really trying to really score points with his kids.  That Al Pastor variety sounds hella good too.  I’m excited for both of those really.  This place is great for breakfast, for meals, and desserts.  Why go anywhere else?

Anne

Heh, Nordic Waffles you scamp. The Pebbles & Bam Bam looks absolutely bonkers and I can’t wait to try it. The Al Pastor sounds fine. We liked everything we tried at Nordic Waffles last year, so sign me up. We just need to remember to get in line early because this was really popular last year.
Also, I need to save space for the breakfast waffle because that shit was awesome.

Sarah

Aww cute! This looks great and adorable and I am excited to try this little confection of delight. Also, DIBS ON THE CHERRY, Anne and Pat. YOU SEE THIS?? I FUCKING CALLED DIBS.

Also crushed pecans are going to really send this over the top, I just know it.

Please don’t let me down, Bridgeman’s. I believe in you.

Patrick

I used to visit an actual Bridgeman’s restaurant with the family when I was just a wee lad.  They always had great ice cream and sundaes and malts.  Normally I’m not crazy about getting ice cream for dessert, but this actually looks like it could be pretty good.  I dig the cinnamon sugar pita chips, and I’m sure Sarah and Anne will go nuts over the pecans (hahah, nut puns).  Peaches aren’t my favorite topping for ice cream, but maybe this will all come together nicely.

Anne

Well this certainly looks tasty. I’m not a huge fan of fruit in ice cream. I’ll eat a banana split (but you better not add strawberry or that yellow sauce. Just chocolate and maaaybe caramel), and a maraschino cherry, but that’s it (though for some reason. I’ll eat ice cream with fruit, like fruit pies. I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT EITHER). So, I’m hoping that there aren’t big chunks of peaches in this ice cream.

The toppings on this look awesome though and right up my alley. I hope the pita chips are too delicate to use as an ice cream scoop.

Sarah

God, I love a good fritter. And I like me some shrimp. And I like me some grits. And we already talked about how I like me some dipping sauces, so you know what? I’m pretty jazzed about this one.

I hope it’s not fishy or anything. That could totally ruin this.

Funky Grits, eh? Name doesn’t sound familiar. I hope it’s new and they make some good grits so I can, you know, get more grits.

Patrick

Hey, another new vendor.  Neat.  I’ve recently grown to really enjoy grits (not having encountered them much growing up).  Throwing some shrimp in, deep frying them in a ball and giving me some aioli sauce to dip them in, well shoot.  That sounds splendid.  These look really crispy and tasty and I’m pretty excited to try this new food and vendor.

Anne

Well helllooooo. Funky Grits- are you new? If so, I like the cut of your jib. Is this the only thing you offer, or do you have other, grits-related products?

I like skrimp, I like cheesy grits, I like fried things, I love a good aioli, so sign me up for this!

Sarah

Awwww!!! CUUUUTE! Look at that tiny waffle. It’s adorbs.

That said there’s nothing too special about this? So, while I am excited to eat it because I love ice cream and stuff, I’m not excited for it in a new fair foods sort of way.

Oh, Hamline Church Dining Hall. They’re usually not bad. I’m sure this will be just fine.

Patrick

Hamline Church Dining Hall is a boring place with boring food.  There, I said it.  This is where the old people come to eat their bland food so as not to upset their tum tums.  Here is a perfectly simple and not at all exciting breakfast (dessert?) item.  A mini waffle with syrup and ice cream.  I know you tried, what with the cream cheese ice cream, but it’s not gonna cut it.  This looks boring, and I don’t even get a regular sized waffle either?  Bet I got to pay like it is regular sized.  Get your waffles at Nordic Waffles, folks.

Anne

Well isn’t that just the saddest damn sundae you’ve ever seen. C’mon Hamline Church Dining Hall- I want to support you and give you love, but you keep underwhelming and offering things I can easily make at home.

Just- step it up a notch.

Sarah

Dammit. Why did this have to be served with tomato sauce all over it? I don’t want that. At least make it a dipping side so those of us who don’t like red sauce don’t have to eat it.

Where is this from? What kind of seasonings should I be expecting here?

iPierogi? That’s gotta be new. The father figure is going to love that because he loves pierogis. Is rice normally in polish dishes?

Also, why you serving it with a dinner roll? None of us are eating dinner at the fair, okay? We’re on a day long gorge fest and that extra roll is just filler. Trash it. Especially since the roll is probably going to add, like, a dollar to the price. I’m calling it right now.

Patrick

Holy smokes, quite the number of new vendors this year.  I love a good pierogi, and I reaaaally love a good cabbage roll.  Nothing particularly innovative here, it seems, but I’ve never seen a cabbage roll at the fair, so I’m stoked to give this a try.  What’s not to like?  Ground pork and rice, that red sauce, inside steamed cabbage leaves?  Good comfort food right here.  Sign me up.

Anne

I legit made this face when I saw this pic: (insert grimacing face gif here).

I mean, Sarah’s going to hate this because of the tomato sauce. I don’t even really want it after reading about it. And it looks huge! It looks like you should eat it like a burrito, but they’ve covered it in sauce so now you have to knife and fork it, and I bet it just falls apart all over the place.

Is this a new vendor? I’m not sure.

Sarah

Yaaaaaassssss. I know we often give a lot of shit to Sara’s Tipsy pies for a variety of deserved and underserved reasons but Pecan Pie is the best pie ever so eating this sounds AH-MAZING.

Also, this is now number 2 for whiskey items, too, so it’s creeping up!

Patrick

Hah, Sarah’s still peddling her pies at the fair.  Oh wait, that’s right.  This is that Sara doppelganger.  Shut up, though, and check this out.  Pecan pie might very well be the best pie there is.  It’s also the unhealthiest, but those two things can often run together.  Throw in a little liquor?  Sure, why not?  It’ll probably be expensive for just a little hand pie, but maybe it will be worth it.

Anne

This looks just OK, but if I learned anything last year, it’s that Sara makes a good tipsy pie. I do love me some pecan pie, and this looks like a perfectly reasonable portion for me to continue my State Fair tasting tour, so thanks for that (unless you charge like $15 for it, then gtfo)

That's it for day 4! Check in tomorrow for the final post!

ONE MORE DAY! ONE MORE DAY!

2019 MN State Fair New Foods Preview Part 3

Well lookee lookee lookee. Another day, another post about the New Foods at the MN State Fair!

You can find Part 1 and Part 2 here. We're right in the midst of things now!

Let's do this!

Sarah

I don’t know why but I really love the name of this one.

Oh, fuck it’s got buffalo chicken. God dammit. God damn everything. I hate buffalo sauce. HATE IT.

via GIPHY

I cannot fucking even stand the smell, let alone the taste. And now I’m going to have to eat this and it’s going to ruin my otherwise baller day. Also, it’s upsetting because I love bleu cheese and I would love to try something topped with bleu cheese fondue. Not to mention BBQ chips which are sometimes the best chips evah!

Pickled jalapenos are gross though. And I’m not a fan of tomaters.

So really this is something that could maybe be great if you took most of it and changed it into something different.

Oh, RC’s BBQ. This is the place that replaced Famous Dave’s and generally hasn’t been as good.

My opinion doesn’t change

Patrick

I do not care much for blue cheese.  I understand that for some, it is a classic pairing to go with buffalo chicken.  Me personally, I prefer ranch as the superior pairing.  That said, I understand why it is on this dish, but it still puts a serious red flag out for me.  Otherwise, this might sound like a good item.  I love buffalo chicken and combining that with BBQ chips sounds interesting.  Basically, kind of a buffalo BBQ nachos?  Hopefully this blue cheese fondue isn’t terribly overpowering.  I wonder which Sarah hates more; buffalo sauce, or Mexican spices.  I miss back when this place was Famous Daves.  They really knew how to put out some fun, delicious new BBQ items each year, but RC BBQ just seems played out and uninspired.  I don’t know.

Anne

Well RC’s BBQ, you managed to hit a trifecta of making us not want this thing. Sarah hates buffalo chicken, Packie doesn’t like blue cheese, and I (and Sarah) don’t like jalapenos. I can’t wait to have to try this!

Also, you know those chips are going be so soggy.

Sarah

So, more wings. Chicken this time instead of duck, but I guess because the BBQ sauce has Irish whiskey that makes them special?

Eh. Not impressed. I mean, I lurve me some wings, even if they’re boneless so not real wings, and I’m sure I’ll like these just fine. I just, I don’t go to the fair to get wings, you know? I can hit up BWW for that.

Okay, this one HAS to be O’Gara’s now, right?

Yup.

So, there’s a decent chance these wings, which should be perfectly fine, will be garbage.

Patrick

O’Gara’s is a solid C establishment.  They never make anything that really excites or surprises.  It’s just pretty basic.  Ya basic, O’Gara’s.  Basic bitch.  Anywho, this looks fine, I guess.  I like boneless wings, and BBQ sauce, sure.  Bet it is perfectly standard for a BBQ boneless chicken wing.  Because O’Gara’s doesn’t do exciting.  It just do.  Cuz...ya basic.

Anne

*siiiiiiiigggggghhhh* O’Gara’s, can you just not? I mean, these look fine, but so does all of your food and at best they’re just fine. You never wow, and you often out right fail. Can you just give us a break?

I do appreciate that you’ve been doing a lot more GF stuff recently, so thanks for that, I guess.

Sarah

Okay, so maybe the theme is actually BBQ sauce? Because we have a lot of BBQ sauced items this year, too.

Surprisingly no one has put a blueberry BBQ sauce on a taco yet. That would just be prime theme.

I should get paid for this shit.

ANYWAY. Yeah okay, this looks fine to me. I love a grilled cheese Sammy (another sammich proving that Sarah is a fucking liar in regards to sammies) and I like meat and BBQ, and onion jam.

Cheddar is not my favorite cheese to put ON things. I like it better for snacking.

Oh, shit it has Pepper Jack cheese on it. Anne has a raging hate lather for Pepper Jack for no real good reason so she gonna be piiiiiised.

RC’s again. I’m not sure we needed two items from them this year but nevertheless it is what we got.

Patrick

RC BBQ?  You again?  The hell is this?  Ok now, hold up.  This…this looks better than that Hot Hen nonsense.  Some kind of BBQ grilled cheese sammich?  Onion jam?  Shut up!  Ok RC, this is your chance to shine.  Lemme just smack that basket of hot hen nonsense out of your other hand…*SMACK*…there we go.  Yeah, this looks much better.  I’mma enjoy trying this, I tell you what.  No, leave that hot mess on the floor.  We’re talking about Jamm’in Brisket Grilled Cheese now.  Yeah, you’re the star of this show.  Ain’t no stupid blue cheese on you.  You played it smart.

Anne

Woah, woah, woah. RC’s BBQ, I do not think you are a good enough food stand to rate 2 new foods this year. Getting a little big for your britches here.

Honestly, the pic kind of looks a little gross. And god I hate pepper jack cheese. AND HOT BBQ SAUCE? Thanks for giving us no options for the heat level. You know you’re in MN, right?
Also, why the apostrophe in the middle of Jamm’in?

Sarah

Is this some sort of bloody Mary knock off?

Okay yeah, I guess so. But instead of liquor and stuff it’s coffee and stuff. GF too, so is it from French Meadow Bakery?

Oh no! It’s Brim again! Okay welly welly welly! I am officially intrigued by Brim.

And I think I can get down with this. I don’t like coffee per se, but I do like coffee flavored things, so maybe this slushy with all its stuff will make it good!

Or maybe it will just be a lot of junk on top of coffee. Guess we’ll find out!

Patrick

…I think I got some of that hot hen on my shoes.  I mean I can smell it.  That nasty blue cheese smell, it’s just…

Oh, uh, Joey Mary!  That’s uh…*ruffles through papers*…Ok, we got another confection from Brim here.  An iced coffee slushie?  I’m not sure how I feel about a coffee slushie.  I do like food accessories coming with my drinks though.  What the hell, I’ll try it.  I could always use more caffeine at the fair to keep me out of my food coma.  Why is it called a Joey Mary?  Is this supposed to be some play off of a bloody mary?  Really?  I mean, it’s got the stick with food accessories, but the comparison stops there.  Whatever, you do you Brim.

Anne

Wtf is this thing? Oh, hello Brim. You must be a Gluten Free food stand? At least both of your new foods are.

I think this suffers from a lack of beautiful food photography. Apparently, it’s a slushie, but it looks like a watery beer. Is that pink thing the cookie? Why doesn’t it look like a cookie instead of a pink blob of dough? Are you trying too hard here, Brim?

Also, I assume this is a play on a Bloody Mary, but I don’t get the replacement of Bloody with Joey. Can someone explain? OH, I GET IT. Joey as in a cup of Joe.

Sarah

What? I mean, okay, this looks fine but how is this fair food? It’s just a steak made out of lamb?  Like, I can get lamb whenever. There’s nothing fancy about this. Just lamb, I guess.

Though, I do like Holy Land. Their Gyro on a stick is, more or less, just a slab of meat on a stick and it’s great, so maybe this will be too.

Patrick

No, I know I smell the blue cheese, I’m not crazy.  What?  I didn’t smack him, I smacked the Hot Hen out of his hand, I was making a point.  I…I don’t see why we need to get the authorities involved.  Uh, look over there!

…HOLY LAND!  That place makes a great gyro on stick, or a gyro platter which is just a tray of fucking gyro meat.  Don’t tell me you’ve never just wanted to shove a bunch of gyro meat in your craw and ignore all that pita and onion business.  Lamb is one of my favorite meats that I don’t get to partake in often, and now here Holy Land is offering me two big ole lam loins?  Yes please!  Sometimes you just need some meat with no strings attached.  I’ve got a good feeling about this.

Ok, we need to beat feet over to Farmer’s Union, I hear sirens.

Anne

Sure- looks tasty. Doesn’t seem super special but I’ll eat it all I’m sure.

Sarah

Just…. *sigh* why is it pink if it’s lavender lemonade? WTF? That’s a missed got-damned opportunity.

Also, okay, lemonade, I guess. Whoop-de-doo.

Oh, and it’s at the Farmer’s Union. Why is this even on this list, guys?

Patrick

Boy, getting real creative now, Farmers Union.  Lavender?  In your pink lemonade?  Can you even do that?  Well, it can’t be any worse than barf-o-nade (that’s honey lemonade for any of you new folks here).

Ok, that’ll do.  No, I’m not cutting corners, I’ve got nothing else to say about it, it’s boring lemonade.  Shut up and follow me through the food building, it’ll be more crowed – I mean faster.  I’m not running, it’s called speed walking and we’ve still got a lot of food to cover.

Anne

*sigh* OK whatever. I mean, it’s just lemonade. And Farmers Union tends to be pretty pricey. I am slightly irritated.

STOP GIVING SUB-PAR VENDORS MULTIPLE NEW FOODS, MNSF!

Sarah

Looks like this is also the year I will be drinking coffee. Add one more and it could be fighting along the others as a possible theme.

THEME FIGHT! THEME FIGHT!!!

So okay, a latte with mini donut flavoring, pretty much. I understand WHY this is a fair food, I’m just not sure I agree with it.

I don’t know that we’ve ever tried anything at the Anchor Coffee house, though, so that will be nice.

Patrick

I don’t try many fancy lattes, mostly because too much sugar is bad for me, but I would like to think I would enjoy them?  A mini donut flavored latte sounds particularly fun and I hope it is as good as I imagine in my mind.  More caffeine is good too, keeping me alert and on my toes.  Not that I need to be alert, it’s just a happy day at the fairgrounds, telling people their food is shit or great, and definitely not striking anyone as some liars would want you to believe.

Anne

Well I’m not a coffee drinker, but at least this is a latte. If I’m going to drink coffee this seems like something I would want to try. But how’s that mini donut though? I bet it’s shitty like most mini donuts are.

Ok, let’s get back to some more fun, crazy offerings please…

Sarah

Hmmm, okay. I don’t quite get the name because yeah, it rhymes, but like, bologna isn’t usually on coneys, right? So, it doesn’t work for me.

Pistachio sausage though, sure! I am obviously very upset about the fucking pepper blend but that bun looks grade A amazing and I’m willing to give that muffuletta olive and pepper salad the old Sarah try.

Mancini’s is not bad, too. Though it’s not always great, either, so prolly this will be about the same.

Patrick

I do love a nice dog, and it is always fun trying different varieties and combinations.  Pistachio’s in a sausage?  Why not.  I love some peppers on my dog too, but I’m sure the twins will complain about that.  Oh wait, the peppers are blend inside the sausage.  Whatever, shut up.  The bun looks good and crispy too and that muffuletta olive and pepper salad topping looks…oh wait, there is peppers on top.  Alright, just gotta read to the end first before commenting.  This looks good, not gonna lie.  I don’t lie about food, no sir.  Not like some.

Anne

…ok but not like this.

Ok, I am interested in tasting the pistachio sausage, but that is it. There are WAAAAAAAAY too many peppers on this thing for my taste.  Also, muffuletta is a type of bread and sammich, so how is it a type of olive salad here? What is going on?!

That bread looks tasty though. Let’s just scrape off everything and eat the sausage and bread.

Okay! That's it for today. Only two more days of posts, and then the REAL countdown begins!
